This is release weekend for COLD BLOODED BOOK III: SINS & SANCTIONS. It made it to #1 in Amazon's Vigilante Justice Category, and #4 in Men's Adventure. Since I can't remember ever making it that high in either category, I thought it would continue to be less of a marketing stunt to provide clips of the novel's rise. I passed 29k words in my new Hard Case Book V: Blood and Fear, so I'll be sending off the first 30k later to my partner, RJ Parker for a look. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I wrote, so I spent much of the holiday filling my head with fiction - a much better world.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Since tomorrow my novel COLD BLOODED BOOK III: SINS & SANCTIONS will be released, I wanted to wish my friends a safe and healthy Thanksgiving. Be careful out there on the roads. Here's a picture from long ago, when Joyce made us all costumes to wear for Halloween and Thanksgiving. We only had one pilgrim though.  :)

A Dream That Cannot Be

After making it nearly to 24k words in my new Hard Case novel, Blood and Fear, I walked tonight as I used to walk with my wife Joyce. A stanza from ‘Les Miserables’ I Dreamed a Dream haunted me the entire walk this night. It is unfortunate there truly are dreams that can never be.

'And still I dream she'll come to me
That we will live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather!'

When we were young.

Amazon corrected a mistake separating my Cold Blooded Trilogy on the boards, and my partner, RJ Parker, did a press release. It certainly spiked my numbers on Amazon. I’m mentioning this, because when Amazon does fix something, if the listing is followed by aggressive marketing as RJ does better than anyone I’ve ever seen in action, it does make a difference. In this crazy market, every opportunity must be taken advantage of. On the writing front, which is at present keeping me sane, I will be reaching my goal of 22,000 words by Sunday in my new novel – HARD CASE BOOK V: BLOOD AND FEAR, the promised fifth adventure in the John Harding series. I hope to release it in late January to mid February. Here is the link to the press release. It’s very well done.

Cold Blooded Book III: Sins & Sanctions

Cold Blooded Book III: Sins & Sanctions hit number 24 in the Men's Adventure category, which has nearly two hundred thousand books listed in that category. Sins & Sanctions has a bit of everything - family, murder, mayhem, terrorist threats, neighborhood drug problems, and a futuristic bonus short story. I tried to hit all the emotional chords in this one from a fist shaking, heart pumping, pulp fiction ride to a laugh, tear, and a prayer.

The third novel in my COLD BLOODED series is now available for pre-order. It's a wild pulp fiction thrill ride. It also has a futuristic short story bonus at the end with Nick and Jean on a mission together eighteen years in the future.

El Muerto began as a joke by writer/assassin Nick McCarty’s partner, Gus. In Nick’s offbeat sense of violent humor, he makes El Muerto into a terrifying legend. Adding his partner Gus into the mix as Payaso his sidekick, Nick enters the realm of serial killers and terrorists with a vengeance. Nick McCarty’s new boss opens the keys to the kingdom for the coldest blooded killer he’s ever met. Deciding when fighting psychopathic murderers and terrorist cells hell bent on America’s destruction, there is one old football cliché that fits – winning isn’t everything… it’s the only thing. Nick’s book tour turns into a bloody rampage, leaving little doubt he embraces his boss’s new management style. Returning to his Pacific Grove refuge with family and friends, Nick decides to bring his deadly business more into the open… and business is good.

November/December BTS Reviews E-mag

The new November/December Issue of BTS Reviews E-mag is out. It's filled with reviews, interviews, ads (including mine), columns, and even stories. It is the classiest magazine on the Internet, very easy on the eye, and a great read too. Here are a list of the columns you can check out:
